Mulching
Mulching, beyond the obvious aesthetic enhancement of your landscape bed, has many other benefits too. At Fulks Lawn & Landscape we offer customized mulching programs to help with plant health and overall upkeep.
- Mulch is known to help keep weeds at bay in your garden bed.
- Available in a variety of colors, mulch is a great way to enhance and enrich your yard and landscaping.
- Mulch acts as a protective barrier for your plants’ sensitive roots – protecting them from excessive heat, high winds and retaining moisture during dry spells.
- As mulch breaks down it becomes organic matter which helps to improve the soil’s moisture and nutrient holding capacity, structure, and drainage.
- Mulch helps prevent soil erosion and increases beneficial soil organisms.
- Mulch has been known to provide insulation from fluctuating temperatures (especially during winter months), which can kill plants. High winds are also known to strip moisture from plants, and mulch can help prevent this from happening.
We recommend that a top coat of 1” of mulch be installed every year for best results and optimal health. Please contact us today for a QUOTE or to book your mulch installation!
